We are all very excited about our Allotment Project which is now well under way.

The Fox & Hounds had a lot of wasted space at the back of the pub and so we decided to loan part of it to the local community who are working hard to turn this into allotment patches.

Everyone involved is working extremely hard and as spring arrives we are seeing all kinds of fruit and vegetables being planted. Broad beans, onions, beetroot, rhubarb, strawberries and rocket to name but a few.

Of course we are not charging anyone for the land but have asked that spare produce be donated to the pub; so as summer arrives don’t forget to ask where your veg is from or where your rhubarb in your crumble is from as we expect it will be as local as you can get.
